Where to Go?

The Mogollon Rim is home to six pristine mountain lakes for you to choose from. Delivery is available to some locations and campgrounds, but you can personally take them to the lake of your preference.

Woods Canyon Lake: One of the most popular for it’s stunning views, and hiking trail going around the lake as well as a store on site.

Knoll Lake: A much more secluded and serene destination, It is named after the prominent Knoll (island) at it’s center.

Willow Springs Lake: A Personal Favorite, it is second largest of the mountain lakes and offers wide open waters, and easy access to the beach.

Chevelon Canyon Lake: The biggest and Deepest lake on the Rim. It is also the hardest to reach. While it will likely be more secluded, only go if you’re ready for an adventure

Bear Canyon Lake: Another popular option, but it does require you to hike to the lake after parking. One of the few locations in AZ where you can fish for Arctic Grayling.

Black Canyon Lake: A more quiet and secluded setting positioned 6 miles off the highway down dirt roads. Water Levels may be a little low currently.
